| STATUS UPDATE |
The restoration of the historic front facade of the Ritz Theatre is now complete. Photos of the restoration are available under the "Photos and Audio Clips" tab. Our architectural firm, is currently completing the design of the interior; please click on the "ARCHITECT'S PLANS" tab for more information. The ACCA has purchased two adjoining buildings; that space will allow a larger, more functional stage.
THE RITZ ART GALLERY is now open! Artist Richard Ozanne helped the ACCA open a new art gallery. The Ritz Art Gallery is currently featuring art by area artists. Our experience with the Ritz Art Gallery has encouraged the ACCA to include an Art Gallery within the soon-to-be-constructed Ritz Theatre.
The three initial projects of the ACCA are now complete - stabilization and renovation of the Drake Library, construction of a new Band Shell on the Centerville Town Square, and completion of cross-walks on the Centerville Town Square. The ACCA raised over $2,000,000 for these three projects. Please open the "Project Pride" tab and view our newsletters for more information on our ACCA accomplishments!
With the completion of the initial three projects, the ACCA is now focused on completion of the Ritz Theatre! The ACCA has applied for an Iowa C.A.T. (Community Attraction and Tourism) Grant as we complete our fund raising drive. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2008. To view our financial status, please view the FINANCIAL PIE CHART:
