Center 2000
"centerThe Appanoose County Conservation Board's nature center, Center 2000, is located at Sharon Bluffs State Park. The nature center is home to the ACCB's extensive collection of mounted wildlife. Species native to Appanoose counties present and past are on display here as well as an extensive fur case collection. Visitors to the nature center will get a chance to see bison, turkey, bobcats, hawks and much, much more. A full sized Albino whitetail deer as well as the 'Dueling Bucks' display are two very unique attractions to the nature center. Live reptiles including a resident Timber Rattlesnake and living bee hive are always popular with young and old alike. Large viewing windows inside the display room make it an ideal place to view the animals from the wildside exhibit. Visitors can also observe many different resident bird species that frequent the feeding station set up just outside the center.

"duelingIn addition to the display room, Center 2000 also serves as the ACCB headquarters with buisness offices, a meeting room, indoor classroom, and full kitchen. The center also may be rented out for your groups use. Please call the office for rental fees and rules regarding the use of this facility.
